Ideal when you are in an area which frequently floods.<br \/>\nWe often install a more modern French Ditch solution, using perforated pipes and geotextile membranes, which prevents the system from being clogged up by aggregate.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Herringbone Drainage &#8211; <\/strong>Ideal for large gardens, but this uses the same principle as a French Drain\/Ditch, the difference being the way the pipes are laid out. Herringbone has many smaller pipes connecting into a large pipe down the middle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ditches<\/strong> &#8211; The most simple and cheap way to create garden drainage, however this can be designed to become a part of a garden, by planting waterplants around it, and even some water features. This is ideal for smaller properties, as this wouldn&#8217;t really suffice for large lawns.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Soakaway Crate Systems<\/strong> &#8211; One of the most effective ways to remove water from gardens, however, it is expensive. This system allows for water to more or less be held underground, until it is slowly dissipated.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stack Drain &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>A classic in many properties and again a very common and cost effective way of managing water.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Channel Drainage &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>The easiest way to describe this is creating a moat around your property, so water can be taken away to an underground drainage system prior to it getting in your garden.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a role=\"button\" href=\"#form\"><br \/>\nFree Consultation<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Garden Drainage Systems<\/h2>\n<p>When we go to assess the reasons that result in us having to attend for Garden Drainage, we often find a number of problems. By diagnosing this, we are able to find the best solution to any problem. We often find the biggest issues are :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Uneven Patios, Driveways and pathways &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>If it isn&#8217;t level, water is being directed off all in one or two locations, this results in water channeling through gardens and creating a high demand for drainage in that area.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Leaks &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Be it a water main, a Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi or Water Feature, this adds more water to an area, slowing the natural ability for the garden to deal with the flowing water.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clay Soil &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Clay based soils are very common around London, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Clay based soil is common, but this soil contains more particles, which results in it becoming sticky when wet, and the soil will hold onto water for longer than other types of soil.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Poorly Installed Guttering &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Something as simple as a poorly installed downpipe can cause substantial issues to any property.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Whatever issues are causing garden drainage issues in your garden, we are able to remedify the issues and create a better drainage solution for your garden.
